Our founders recognized that the traditional mattress industry was in serious need of repair with the norm of confusing, high-pressure sales tactics in retail stores and no way to comparison shop. We solved this frustration by offering an easy online buying model with transparent policies, a 120-day sleep trial and non-commissioned customer representatives removing the hassle of mattress shopping in stores as most Americans had known it.
A lot of new online startup mattress companies followed our lead, but offered a one-size-fits-all foam mattress rolled in a box instead of a luxury product. Unlike those companies, Saatva was founded by mattress technology experts, furniture executives, customer service specialists, and internet entrepreneurs with decades of experience in their fields. We offer full-service in-home delivery and setup within our nationwide delivery infrastructure of 18 American partner factories and over 120 distribution centers nationwide. And because we know that each customer is unique, we offer multiple mattress styles, comfort levels and heights. That's just who we are.
